ROSENBERRY INN WAUSAU, WISCONSIN

Synopsis

On April 25th, 2015 the Wausau Paranormal Research Society (WPRS) in conjunction with the Rosenberry Inn Bed and Breakfast donated an overnight stay at the Inn, along with a private paranormal investigation with the WPRS for the Woman’s Community annual banquet and silent auction fundraiser.

Investigation

Investigators Spialek and Beaudry conducted the private investigation with the four winners of the silent auction. The investigation started off with an introduction about the Rosenberry Inn and the Wausau Paranormal Research Society. The participants listened to EVP’s and viewed photographs of the previous investigations at the Rosenberry Inn. During that time, what sounded like a disembodied voice of a high pitched moan or mumbling of the female gender could be heard at two separate times in the dinning or hallway area.

The participants were given a Trifield EMF meter, Thermal Probe and a Full Spectrum camera to use during the investigation. The participants were instructed on how to use the different equipment and the scientific relativity with each piece of equipment. The group began taking EMF and temperature readings and pictures with the Full Spectrum camera.

During the EMF sweep of one of the upstairs bedrooms, a high EMF spike of  5 milligauss was experienced twice directly over the bed, then went back down to .01 milligauss. At the same time a photograph from the Full Spectrum camera captured what appears to be an orb shape object over the bed. Numerous photographs were taken though out the inn with no other dust orbs captured in the photographs.

The group conducted the first EVP session upstairs and the participants were spread out in the hallway. The group reached out and tried to make contact with any of the spirits that are still residing within the inn. Several times footsteps could be heard, but it was unfounded due to the possibility of it being the caretaker in his upstairs level apartment.

The group conducted a second EVP session on the first floor of the inn. The participants spread out from the dining room, living room and hallway area. During that session, one of the participants who was seated in the hallway heard what appeared to be footsteps near the rear staircase area. Later during that same session, another group participant said they heard footsteps or noise around the dining and living room area. At that time, a disembodied voice was heard that sounded very similar to previous others. That disembodied voice was captured on a digital recorder.

Conclusion

The charity event for the silent auction of the overnight stay sponsored by the Rosenberry Inn and the private paranormal investigation sponsored by the WPRS was a big success. All the members that participated in the investigation learned about the history of the Rosenberry Inn and the ghostly hauntings that still reside within the walls of the beautiful inn. The group not only had a relaxing overnight stay in the beautiful historic bed and breakfast, but also an enjoyable haunting good time by all.
