Private Residence – West Central Wisconsin

Synopsis

WPRS was contacted by the client early May due to paranormal experiences occurring in her home located in West Central Wisconsin.  Emails were exchanged between the client and the case lead, Lorena; information about the home and the family’s experiences was gathered. The client has confirmed with the current landlord that the home is not too old; the previous tenant lived at that location for several years and passed away at a nursing home prior to the client moving in. The house is a cottage style home.

Investigation

On Saturday, November 14th 2020, an investigation was conducted at the client’s residence. The investigative team consisted of Shawn Blaschka, Betsy Duginski, Bill Beaudry and Lorena Cruz. The client was not home but the team was given prior authorization to enter the home upon arrival. The start of the investigation was 7:30pm.

A map was drawn of the location and an EMF base reading of the whole house was conducted. With the exception of one bedroom, the overall reading was 0.5 milligauss. A higher reading of 100+ milligauss was detected in one of the kid’s bedrooms, this is due to the fridge, electric stove and breaker box located close to each other in one small location.

Night vision pictures and video were taken of every room in the home. After closely reviewing all images and video no evidence was captured.

An EVP session was conducted where questions were asked in an attempt to hear answers that are audible on play back. During playback of the recording, Investigator Beaudry picked up what sounds like a sigh or an exhale.

The team also picked up a few different figures on the SLS camera which detects bodies and forms a stick figure over the bodies it detects. During the initial set up of the camera prior to recording, a small figure was picked up by the camera, at the same time the K2 meter spiked. This area was right in front of the T.V. in the living room. The same figure was captured one other time sitting on the floor next to the couch closest to the furnace. The figure was small enough to resemble a small pet or a sitting toddler.

One of the children in the home claims to have seen a figure come from the closet, which was also captured with the SLS camera. Investigator Blaschka was the first to see the figure in the closet; with one of the closet doors open the figure could be picked up inside the closet and it responded to a request. Blaschka asked the figure to come out of the closet and it did so by laying on the bed. When it was approached by Investigator Cruz, the figure disappeared from camera. Each team member took turns with the SLS camera and walked around the house. A few more times the figure in the closet was captured but would not come out again. Eventually the figure stopped showing up for us.

During one of the scans with the SLS camera, there was another figure captured in the kitchen. The figure appeared to be in front of the microwave, then jumped up on the table, then on top of the counter. The size of the figure was about four feet tall. Pictures were taken of the temperature difference where the figure came up initially and we found a 7.2 degree difference in a short distance of about two feet from the chair to the microwave.

One other figure was captured in the living room; investigators Beaudry and Duginski were sitting on the couch facing the T.V., one sitting on each end of the couch. With the SLS camera the figure was seen behind Beaudry, it then went up the wall and moved to the left towards Duginski before it disappeared where the walls meet.

There was one last interaction with a figure spotted on the SLS camera. Initially the team was trying to figure out if the small figure next to the couch was a dog or a small child when the larger figure appeared. The larger figure looked like a person sitting on the couch. The figure showed movement, it reached to touch his leg and knee, it also appeared to bend over twice, Blaschka reached at it and the figure reacted by moving away from his hand before it disappeared.

Most of the evidence captured that night was with the SLS camera, unfortunately we had limitations on the length of each recording and not all evidence was saved. The figure captured in the closet corroborates the oldest child’s sighting.

The team found that if the back/side door is not shut tight, by opening the front door the back/side door will open with the sudden change in air pressure. This can also occur if any wind comes through an open or cracked window. With the evidence captured and the claims of the family we have concluded that there is paranormal activity in the home.
